On 04/28/2020, at approximately 11:40 PM, the Juneau Police Department received several calls regarding what sounded like gunshots in the area of Meadow Lane. Officers responded to the area and could hear loud explosions that were determined to be fireworks or possibly a seal bomb.
Officers searched the area and located two mailboxes that had been damaged by some type of explosive, similar to fireworks or a seal bomb. Two males were contacted in the area and questioned about the explosives before being released. One of the males is an 18-year-old Juneau resident, the other is a 17-year-old Juneau resident.
This case is still under investigation.
