Have you seen or heard about the 9PM Routine on social media? It's become a popular -- and simple -- way for folks to protect their home and property.
The 9PM Routine is a nationally recognized social media program that is designed to help you prevent burglaries and thefts from your home, cars, or personal property.
As you go through your nightly routine, whether it is spending time with your family, watching your favorite television show, or reading a bedtime story, please include taking a few extra moments to make sure the doors to your vehicle and home are locked, valuables are brought inside, exterior lights are turned on, and your garage doors are closed and secure.
To help remind you, during the months of November and December, JPD will send out a post on our Facebook page each evening at 9:00 P.M.
Please partner with us, your neighbors, and our community to help stop these types of crimes of opportunity with this proven and effective program.
It is called the #9PMRoutine, but it should be practiced 24 hours a day…
• Close windows
• Remove valuables and weapons from vehicles
• Lock the doors
• Turn on exterior lights
• Make sure the garage door is down
