On 10/24/2019, at about 6:30 PM, the Juneau Police Department served a search warrant at a hotel room located in the 9400 block of Glacier Highway, in an attempt to locate wanted person, Micah Nelson.
Officers located Nelson inside the hotel and after a short stand off, Nelson complied with commands and surrendered peacefully. Nelson was evaluated at the Bartlett Regional Hospital due to an unrelated injury and then was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Nelson is currently being held without bail.
Additional criminal charges are pending against Nelson and will be forwarded to the District Attorneys office at the conclusion of the investigations.
