INFORMATION RELEASE

Subject: Arrests Made Following Disturbance
Date: 2018-09-05
From: Erann Kalwara - JPD PIO
Case or Incident: #180901-002
Summary:

On August 1, 2018 at around 1:25am, a man reported to JPD that Lisa Kuhr was in a residence on Dixon Street and was causing a disturbance. Officers were dispatched to the residence to assist with the issue. Prior to the officers’ arrival, it was determined that Kuhr had three outstanding warrants and was subject to Pre-Trial monitoring.

When officers arrived at the residence and knocked, the door was not opened for an extended period of time. Alfred Mckinley eventually opened the door and denied that Kuhr was in the residence. Officers were granted access and searched the residence.

Kuhr was located hiding in a base cabinet in the kitchen. Kuhr became belligerent and hostile towards officers. It was noted that she appeared intoxicated and was not wearing her Pre-Trial ankle monitor. It was determined that the ankle monitor had been cut off and was later located at the residence.

Kuhr was arrested for Criminal Mischief related to destruction of the ankle monitor, for Violating Conditions of Release and on three outstanding JPD warrants as follows:

Bench Warrant dated 08/20/18 charging Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Hearing $300 bail

Bench Warrant dated 08/20/18 charging Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Hearing, False Report and Violating Conditions of Release $300 bail

Bench Warrant dated 08/20/18 charging Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Hearing Violating Conditions of Release $ 300 bail

Alfred Mckinley was arrested for Interfering With An Officer. Both Kuhr and Mckinley were transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center where Kuhr was lodged and Mckinley was to be released on his own recognizance.

All factual allegations contained in this release are based upon preliminary investigation and are subject to change or clarification as the investigation continues. Any charges reported in this release are merely accusations and all persons named in this release are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
