On June 7, 2018 at about 5:06pm, JPD received a call from a woman reporting her 27 year old daughter had been assaulted. JPD officers responded to the residence in the 9100 block of Cinema Drive and began an investigation.
It was determined that two men went to the female’s residence with handguns reference a property dispute. They stated that her friend had stolen several items from them and they wanted them back. One of the suspects was known to the female victim and was identified as Frank Rogers.
Rogers struck the female several times before leaving the residence in a vehicle. CCF/R responded and transported the female victim to BRH for evaluation and treatment. She was released from BRH later that night.
JPD contacted 25 year old Juneau resident Frank A. Rogers several hours later. He was arrested for Assault in the 2nd degree and Assault in the 3rd degree. Rogers was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
The investigation of the situation continues and JPD is working to identify the other male who is currently considered a person of interest.
