Subject: Motor Vehicle Crash - Bus & Motorcycle

Summary:

On 5/12/18, at about 1638 hours, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle crash at the Glacier Hwy and Hospital intersection involving a CBJ bus and a motorcycle.

Juneau Police Officers and Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as a 21 year old male Juneau resident. The male had been operating a red 2000 Honda motorcycle. The male appeared unconscious upon arrival, but regained consciousness while being attended to. The male was subsequently transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital. The male is believed to be in stable condition at this time.

The driver of the CBJ bus was identified as 50 year old female Juneau resident. The bus had several passengers on board at the time of the crash. The bus driver and all of the bus passengers were uninjured.

Juneau Police Department Crash Investigators responded to the scene to investigate.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.

This case is still under investigation.
