Summary:

On April 21, 2018 at 10:17 AM, The United States Coast Guard contacted the Juneau Police Department after receiving a report of a found body in the Gastineau Channel near Dupont Creek.

Officers from the Juneau Police Department and the United States Coast Guard responded to the area and located the body of a deceased male. The cause of death is unknown at this time.

Next of kin was notified and the deceased male has been identified as 64 year old Juneau resident, Edward P. Boudreau.

The preliminary investigation shows that no foul play is suspected in the cause of death. Boudreau?s body will transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage for an autopsy.

The Coast Guard attempted to locate any type of vessel in the area of the body and they were unsuccessful.

This case is still under investigation by the Juneau Police Department.
