On 02/06/2018, at 7:09 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a 911 call regarding a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on Glacier Highway and Alaway Ave.
Juneau Police Officers and Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to the area. The pedestrian was identified as a 54 year old female Juneau resident.
The female had sustained serious injuries from the collision and was transported to the hospital. She was later medevaced to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
The driver of the vehicle is a 59 year old male Juneau resident, and he was operating a black 2008 Ford pickup. The driver of the vehicle is not suspected of being impaired.
This case is still under investigation.
