On 01/13/2018, at about 1:45 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. Officers arrived and located a 31 year old male with multiple stab wounds. The male victim was transported to the hospital and is being treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, 27 year old Carl Liberty Jr, was ultimately arrested for assault in the 2nd degree and tampering with physical evidence.
Carl Liberty Jr. was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Facility.
Assault in the 2nd degree is a class B felony. Tampering with physical evidence is a class C felony.
