On January 5th, 2018 at 8:38PM, the Juneau Police Department received a 911 call about a stabbing at a residence, located in the 3400 block of Foster Ave. The caller reported a male had been stabbed multiple times.
Officers from the Juneau Police Department and Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to the residence to assist.
At the residence, Officers located the victim of the stabbing, who was identified as a 37 year old Juneau resident. The victim reported being stabbed multiple times in the back, head, arms and abdomen. The victim was immediately transported to the Bartlett Regional Hospital by Capital City Fire and Rescue.
The preliminary investigation showed there was a verbal argument at a nearby residence, between the victim and a neighbor, which might have become physical. The neighbor's boyfriend and the victim engaged in a physical confrontation when the victim was stabbed several times. There were reports of a gun and knives being involved in the incident; which were recovered by police at the neighbors residence.
The 37 year old male was treated at the Bartlett Regional Hospital and none of the stab wounds appear to be life threatening.
This case is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
