The request for assistance to located Wilson Curtis-Collins is cancelled. Curtis-Collins came to JPD for an interview and was released.

The investigation is continuing.

On 09/19/2017, at approximately 12:40 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a disturbance near a residence located in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. The caller reported that their roommate was being assaulted, their vehicle was being damaged, and that the person causing the disturbance had fired one shot from a gun into the ground.

JPD officers arrived in the area within 4 minutes of the initial report, but the suspect had already left the area in a vehicle. The investigation revealed that a 21-year-old male punched a 24-year-old male in the head causing minor injuries, and damaged a vehicle belonging to a 22-year-old male. The 21-year-old male reportedly fired one shot from a handgun into the ground and then left the area. JPD officers searched the area and did not locate the 21-year-old male.

JPD is asking for assistance in locating a person of interest in this case. The person of interested is 21-year-old Juneau resident Wilson ?Will? Woodrow Curtis-Collins, who is described as a white male adult, approximately 5?6? tall with a thin build, and brown hair. A photo of Curtis-Collins will be posted on the JPD Facebook page. The public is advised not to contact Curtis-Collins directly, but to notify JPD immediately if he is seen.

The investigation is continuing.
