On June 24th, 2017 at around 3:45pm, the Juneau Police Department was notified that 53 year old Juneau resident Teri Heuscher, was missing. Heuscher had been gone for several hours and her family was very concerned about her welfare. Family had located Heuscher?s vehicle parked at the end of Jennifer Drive near a trailhead and they had walked the area looking for her but found nothing.
The Alaska State Troopers initiated a missing person search that day. Capital City Fire/Rescue assisted in the search and many community members volunteered to help. The search efforts continued until around 10:50pm that night and then started up again at 7am the following day. At the time of this release, Heuscher has not been located. Foul play is not suspected in her disappearance.
Heuscher is described as a 53 year old white female with blondish/brown hair, 5?4? tall, medium build, last seen wearing a dark blue navy jacket, black dress slacks and black sneakers.
