On 06/14/2017, at approximately 2:46 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a suspicious device on a trail located approximately 400 yards off the Glacier Spur Road. Patrol officers arrived and located the device, which was described as a 7? long cylindrical tube wrapped in camouflage tape that appeared to be a possible pipe bomb.
The JPD EOD bomb squad arrived and disabled the suspected pipe bomb. Remnants of the object indicated that it was not an explosive device but appears to have been a geo-cache.
