On 05/30/2017, at approximately 7:23 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a robbery at Taku Harley Davidson, located on South Franklin Street. An employee called 911 and reported that an ex-employee, 23 year old Juneau resident Eric Rivera, had robbed the store at knifepoint. The employee reported that Rivera stole the store?s bank deposit bag and left the store on foot.
At approximately 7:51 PM, a JPD officer saw Rivera on Front Street. Rivera was contacted by police and detained. Rivera was later arrested for Robbery in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 3rd Degree. Rivera was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on No Bail.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from business and has not yet been recovered.
The investigation is continuing.
