On 05/23/2017, at approximately 7:13 PM, a female victim from the 3200 block of Bresee Street reported that she came home to discover two men inside of her house. The victim said both men were in the process of taking her property and she chased them off towards Nancy Street. The victim reported that both men then got into a green van and were leaving the area.
A JPD officer stopped the green van on Trinity Street. The van was occupied by four men. The victim positively identified 48 year old Juneau resident Joseph C. Tong and 43 year old Juneau resident Derek H. Goodman as the two men she discovered burglarizing her house.
Tong and Goodman were both arrested for Burglary in the 1st Degree. Tong and Goodman were transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
The other two men in the van were identified as a 43 year old Juneau resident and a 39 year old Juneau resident. Both men were interviewed and released.
The green van was impounded.
The investigation is continuing.
