The Juneau Police Department and the Capital City Fire and Rescue will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of JPD Officer Karl W. Reishus Thursday, May 4th, at the Alaska State Museum.
Officer Reishus died following a multi-agency training accident at the Hagevig Regional Fire Training Center. Officer Reishus served with the Juneau Police Department and the Sitka Police Department. He left behind a wife, two sons, and a daughter.
The remembrance will begin at 5:00 with a short program to mark the anniversary and pay respects to the Reishus family.
