On April 24th, 2017, JPD assisted Capital City Fire/Rescue in the investigation of the fire at Twin Lakes Park. Last night, two 13 year-old boys were located and interviewed in connection with the investigation. The two males were ultimately lodged at the Johnson Youth Center and charged with Arson in the Second Degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, a class A Felony.
All factual allegations contained in this release are based upon preliminary investigation and are subject to change or clarification as the investigation continues. Any charges reported in this release are merely accusations and all persons named in this release are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
