Juneau Police arrested 34 year-old Donald Ray Hosier for two counts of Assault in the Second Degree (domestic violence) and one count of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third Degree. Officers responded to an incident in the 3000 block of Nowell Avenue late Friday evening, in which a woman reported being assaulted and locked out of her home by the suspect, Hosier. Hosier was reported to be possibly armed with a firearm and in the company of two children. Initially Hosier refused to let officers enter, or come out of the home. After about two and a half hours, police were able to convince Hosier to exit the apartment, where he was taken into custody without further incident. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center where he was held without bail.
