On November 26, 2016, at about 9:40 in the morning, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a strong arm robbery involving a store in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. 18 year old Dylan Leland Barger, of Juneau, took items from the store and got into a vehicle. An employee of the store followed Barger and reached in the open passenger side window to try and retrieve the items. Barger rolled the window up the arm of the employee, drug him with the car, and punched him several times in the face.
Witnesses had called in a description of the vehicle and a partial license plate. Officers of the Juneau Police Department found the vehicle in the driveway of a Mendenhall Valley home. Officers then located Barger at that residence.
Barger was arrested for Robbery in the 2nd degree, a B felony, Assault in the 4th degree, an A misdemeanor, and Theft in the 4th degree, a B misdemeanor.
The store employee was treated and released from Bartlett Regional Hospital
