On 11-06-2016 at 10:20 PM, Juneau Police responded to a reported assault on Glacier Highway near Tonsgard Court. Investigation revealed a 21 year-old man and a 25 year-old woman were walking along Glacier Highway when they were approached by an intoxicated male, identified as 35 year-old William R. Nakamura. Nakamura, who was carrying a metal prybar, began to fight with the 21 year-old man. Nakamura was arrested and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on one count of Assault in the Third Degree, a class C felony. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of apparently minor injuries. Nakamura and the victim were not known to each other prior to this incident.
