On Sunday August 14th the Juneau Police Department received notification from the U.S. Coast Guard that a search was in progress in the Auke Bay Harbor area for a missing man. The Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene and began coordinating investigation efforts with JPD. The search efforts failed to locate the missing Juneau resident, Arnold Skeek.
Mr. Skeek was last seen early Sunday morning sitting on a fishing vessel that was anchored just off the break wall. His personal items were located on board that vessel and his family has not heard from him.
Arnold Skeek is a 26 year old native male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-7? tall and weighs about 150 pounds. A photo of Mr. Skeek will be posted on the JPD Facebook page. Anyone with information on his location is encouraged to contact the Juneau Police Department at 907-586-0600.
