Members of the Juneau Police Department and our friends across the community have found ourselves in a tough place lately. We are horrified by the violence happening across the country and across the world. We need to do something and we need to do it now.
JPD and our community partners are asking you to come to Marine Park July 20th, 2016, and be counted as a person against violence, against discrimination, and against hate. Juneau has people from every cultural background and we can celebrate our diversity together.
JPD will provide free hotdogs, name tags to show pride in our diversity, and white boards to tell the world how we all feel about what has been happening in our society and abroad. Coming together publicly is the strongest action a community can take to show we will not be divided.
The gathering is in Marine Park July 20th, 2016, from 10:30 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening. If you would like to support this gathering please bring hotdogs, buns, and condiments to the park. JPD will provide some supplies to get the event started along with a grill and people to cook the hotdogs.
