Summary:
The Juneau Police Department would like to make sure Juneau residents know that selling fireworks is illegal in the City and Borough of Juneau. The city ordinance prohibits the sale, or offer for sale, of fireworks. Violation of this section is a Class B misdemeanor is punishable by a $75 fine for the first offense and a mandatory court appearance for subsequent offenses.
The city ordinance references Alaska State Fire Code. A full list of fireworks prohibited from being sold are listed under Alaska Statute 18.72.100.
