On June 17, 2016, at about 8:30 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a 911 call from Duck Creek Market reporting a male inside the store trying to rob the clerk. The suspect was described as a male having no shirt, but was wearing jeans and a cowboy hat.

On arrival, officers located the male suspect inside the store. The suspect, identified as 25 year old Koby Walter Blake, was taken into custody without incident. No weapons were located and no one was injured.

Further investigation revealed that Blake had entered the store, was talking to himself and making nonsensical statements, and grabbing items from the shelves. Blake then exited the store without paying for the merchandise while yelling obscenities to the clerk. Blake then returned to the store, continued to threaten physical harm to the clerk, and began taking more merchandise.

Blake was subsequently arrested on charges of Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree, and Theft in the 4th Degree. Second Degree Robbery is a class B felony, Fourth Degree Assault is a class A misdemeanor, and Fourth Degree Theft is a class B misdemeanor.
