On 06-15-2016 at 3:21 AM, JPD was notified of a commercial burglary alarm at 641 West Willoughby Avenue, the Alaska Club Juneau Downtown. Officers arrived within three minutes. On arrival, they located a single male running from the front main entrance of the building. The door had been shattered, and the man was running while holding new clothing in his arms. After a short chase, the man was detained. Investigation revealed the man had entered the Alaska Club, stolen clothing from racks inside of the business, and exited the building as police arrived. The suspect, 40 year-old John Paul Lucion Holland, was arrested and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on Burglary in the Second Degree and Theft in the Third Degree. He was held without bail.
Juneau Police have investigated several reports of commercial burglaries in the downtown area over the past several days. The investigation into those cases is continuing.
