On June 3rd, 2016 at about 7:15am, the Juneau Police Department received a report that sometime during the night, the Juneau Arts and Convention Center (JACC) was unlawfully entered and vandalized.
Several of the glass display cases within the JACC were knocked over, damaged, and their contents thrown onto the floor. The offices inside the building had been entered, rifled and desk drawers had been removed and dumped out.
The damages within the building are estimated at about $10,000.
Several items within the building were stolen including a safe, various pieces of artwork, jewelry, and prints. A full inventory of the stolen property and their associated values is still pending.
This case is currently under investigation.
