Warrant Arrest
On Saturday June 11th at about 1:50am a JPD officer contacted three subjects in a parked vehicle near the Jordan Creek Mall. Chrystal Phillips was in the vehicle and attempted to elude the officer by changing seats and jumping out the rear passenger side door. The officer was ultimately able to detain Phillips and she was arrested on two outstanding no bail warrants charging Contempt of Court stemming from original charges of Promoting Contraband. Phillips was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

On May 19, 2016, at about 1:00 in the afternoon, officers of the Juneau Police Department contacted and arrested two subjects with warrants. One was 32 year old Brandon Ross Stephens of Juneau. Stephens had seven warrants covering larceny, failure to appear, and violating conditions of release. The bail associated with the warrants totaled $6300 dollars.
The other person arrested was 28 year old Chrystal Rose Phillips, also of Juneau. She had a no bail arrest warrant for promoting contraband. Phillips told the arresting officer that she had swallowed drugs at the time of arrest and felt sick. The officer observed behavior in Phillips he thought could indicate a medical crisis. The officer drove with lights and siren to Bartlett Regional Hospital.
JPD officers and a probation officer supervised Phillips from Thursday afternoon until late Friday night. Phillips was in the critical care unit and still not medically cleared for lodging at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
On May 20, 2016, at about 10:30 in the evening, the JPD officer sitting at BRH with Phillips had to leave to respond to a domestic violence call. Within 30 minutes, Phillips had left the hospital without medical clearance.
JPD has consulted with the District Attorney and an escape charge is being filed reference Phillips? behavior. Anyone with information about where Chrystal Phillips is located is encouraged to call the Juneau Police Department at 586-0600.
