The deceased subject's next of kin was notified. He is identified as Peter James Wool, a 47 year old Alaska resident. Wool's body will be flown to Anchorage for an autopsy with the Medical Examiner's Office.
The investigation is still continuing.

On May 13th, 2016 at about 3:03pm the Juneau Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a female reporting concern over a person lying down in the grass near the Brotherhood Bridge. Juneau Police officers and Capital City Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
The adult male subject was deceased upon their arrival. Officers have determined the identity of the subject who is believed to be an Alaskan resident but not from Juneau. Foul play is not suspected. Next of kin has not been notified. The investigation continues.
