On 04-23-2016 at 6:47 PM, Juneau Police received a report of a motor-vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Mendenhall Loop Road and Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. The collision involved a 2002 Chevrolet pickup, driven by an 18 year-old female, and a 2009 Mitsubishi Gallant, driven by a 56 year-old male. All three occupants of the Mitsubishi were transported by Capital City Fire and Rescue to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The intersection was closed for about 45 minutes. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. This case is still under investigation.
