INFORMATION RELEASE

On 04/23/2016, at approximately 4:30AM, the Juneau Police Department received multiple calls on 911 regarding a 52 year old Juneau resident who had his residence broken into and the suspects then pepper sprayed him in the face.

Members of the Juneau Police Department and Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to the 2200 block of Raven Road. The victim of the assault received medical treatment at the scene and was later taken to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The investigation showed that two male subjects had forcibly entered the victim?s residence by breaking open the front door. Once inside, one of the male subjects sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. The victim retreated to a bedroom inside the residence and tried locking the door. The male suspects attempted to force their way into the bedroom and while doing so, managed to open the bedroom door wide enough to continue pepper spraying the victim.

The victim was able to flee the residence and went to a neighbor?s residence for help. The two suspects in this case fled the area prior to the arrival of police and were not located.

The suspects are described as being male between 5'8\" ? 6' tall with medium builds; wearing blue hooded jackets or sweatshirts.
