On 03/22/2016, at approximately 9:56 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a two car collision at the McNugget intersection of Egan Drive and the Glacier Highway.
The investigation revealed that a 2015 Buick Lacrosse was driving inbound on Egan Drive and failed to stop for the red light at the Glacier Highway intersection. The Buick struck a 2009 Hummer H3 that was turning left from Egan Drive onto the Glacier Highway.
The driver of the Buick was identified as 66 year old Juneau resident Beth A. Crile. Crile was transported to the Bartlett Regional Hospital by ambulance personnel for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Crile was later cited for Failure to Stop for a Steady Red Light. There were no passengers reported in the Buick.
The driver of the Hummer was identified as a 17 year old female Juneau resident. The 17 year old female suffered minor injuries, but was not transported to BRH by ambulance personnel. There were no passengers reported in the Hummer.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Egan Drive inbound was closed for approximately 15 minutes until the vehicles were removed.
Alcohol was not a factor in this collision.
