Subject: Assault and Attempted Kidnapping

Summary:

On Wednesday, 02/24/2016, at approximately 9:44 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a trespass and assault that took place near a residence in the 4000 block of Delta Drive. In essence, a 32 year old female heard a noise coming from behind her residence. The woman?s 30 year old husband went to investigate the noise and discovered a male behind the house. When confronted the male suspect pulled a gun. The husband ran back into the residence and the police were called. JPD officers searched the area and the male suspect was not located. The male suspect was described as wearing a camo pattern hoodie and a distinctive black ski mask with white around the mouth.

On Wednesday, 03/02/2016, at approximately 6:30 PM, the same 32 year old female was getting into her vehicle which was parked in the 1900 block of Dunn Street. While the female was getting into her car she was grabbed from behind in a bear hug. The woman resisted her attacker and was able to turn around. The male attacking her was wearing a black hoodie and a black ski mask with white around the mouth.

The male suspect pointed a black gun at the 32 year old female and ordered her to into the car. The woman fought back and was struck in the face with the gun. The male suspect then ran away towards the area of Glacier Highway.

The 32 year old woman went to a local business and the police were notified. JPD officers canvased the area and the male suspect was not located.

The 32 year old woman went to the Bartlett Regional Hospital. She was treated for a non-life threatening injury to her face and released.

The male suspect is described as being between 5?7? and 5?9? tall, skinny build, dark completion, with large dark brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie and a black ski mask with white around the mouth.
