On February 16, 2016 at 5:07pm, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a pedestrian verses motor vehicle crash on Glacier Hwy at Alaway Ave. Officers responded and located a local 23 year old female in the street with an injury to her ankle. Based on witness accounts, and evidence located at the scene, it appeared the victim was in the crosswalk when she was struck. The 61 year old driver, operating a 2009 Ford F150, said he did not see the pedestrian until it was too late.
