On February 16th 2016, at 10:44am, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a single vehicle rollover accident on Glacier Hwy at Concrete Way. The investigation revealed local Juneau resident, 35 year old Natasha Castillo, was texting while driving. Castillo, distracted due to texting, simply drove her 2013 Toyota Corolla off the roadway and down the steep embankment. The Toyota rolled over in the process coming to rest upside down. The vehicle was totaled. Castillo was not injured. Castillo was cited for Use of an Electronic Device while driving. One lane of Glacier Hwy was closed while the vehicle was pulled back on the roadway.
