On 01-31-2016 at 8:41 AM, Juneau Police responded to a report of a possibly armed man in the area of the Chapel by the Lake Church. The complainant reported the man made statements about having a gun and people owing him money. Officers responded and detained 36 year-old Thurman Lee Cairnes, Jr. Cairnes was arrested and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on one count of Terroristic Threats in the Second Degree, a class C felony. No weapon was found. Alcohol was not a factor.
