INFORMATION RELEASE

On October 20th, 2015 at about 10:32pm, the Juneau Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a disturbance at a residence in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. The caller stated a male shot another male while at the residence. Officers arrived in the area approximately 3 minutes later, entered the residence, and found a severely injured male on the floor. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officer?s arrival.
Capital City Fire/Rescue responded and confirmed that the male victim was deceased. The victim has been identified as a 30 year old Juneau man.
At about 08:31am on October 21st, the suspect in the incident, a 32 year old Juneau man was contacted and detained. The investigation is ongoing.
