On October 16th, 2015 at 2:26PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a two vehicle crash on the outbound lane of Egan Drive, at the Fred Meyer access Road. Police and CCFR/EMS responded to the crash.
The investigation showed that the two vehicles involved in the crash were a grey 2014 Subaru Impreza, driven by 80 year old Patricia Berryhill, and a gold 1996 Geo Prism, driven by 50 year old Lisa Pearce.
The Geo was travelling outbound on Egan Drive, while the Subaru was travelling inbound on Egan drive. The Subaru made a left turn onto the Fred Meyer access road, and struck the Geo.
Pearce was transported to BRH for a medical evaluation, her injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
A citation to Berryhill is pending to show cause of the crash.
During the investigation of the crash, the outbound lane of Egan Drive was closed for about 45 minutes, and traffic was diverted onto Yandukan Drive.
