On 092415 at approximately 8:11 pm the Juneau Police Department received a report of possible drug activity in a green 4 door vehicle by Twin Lakes on Old Glacier Hwy. An officer located the vehicle and attempted to contact the 2 occupants. As the officer walked up to the vehicle it drove away. The officer followed the vehicle with lights and sirens along Twin Lakes toward Vanderbilt Hill Rd. The vehicle stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Glacier Hwy and Vanderbilt road, then turned right on Vanderbilt toward Lemon Creek. The vehicle continued on Glacier Hwy at approximately 60 mph and turned onto Central Ave at which point the officer turned off his emergency lights and siren and stopped following the vehicle. The vehicle was later located abandoned in a driveway on Mountain Ave. The vehicle was impounded. If anyone has information on who might have been driving the vehicle they are encouraged to call JPD and report it.
