INFORMATION RELEASE

On September 23, 2015, at about 8:32 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a robbery in progress at the Travelodge Hotel located in the 9200 block of Glacier Hwy. The report indicated that the male suspect fled into the surrounding neighborhoods. Within minutes, JPD officers arrived in the area and began looking for the suspect.
The suspect was reported to be male, 5?8? to 5?10?, and about 200 lbs. The male was wearing all black and was carrying a dark colored garbage bag.
Officers searched the area and the male was not located. No one was hurt during the incident. The suspect was believed to be armed and took an undisclosed amount of money.
Anyone who may have seen this individual is encouraged to call the Juneau Police Department.
