On July 7th, 2015 at about 10:30 in the evening, a Juneau Police Department detective arrested 32 year old Brian Hogan of Hillsboro, Oregon for domestic violence assault in the first degree. The investigation began at about 5:30 in the evening when Capital City Fire and Rescue personnel went to a Douglas residence in response to a report a woman was badly burned.
A 32 year old Juneau woman had been burned over about 50% of her body including an arm, torso, and both legs. She has been medically evacuated to Harborview medical center.
The victim?s boyfriend, Hogan, was arrested for the assault in the first degree, a class A felony. He is also charged with violating conditions of release, a B misdemeanor. Hogan had a previously been arrested on May 26, 2015 for a domestic violence assault on the same victim and was out of jail on conditions of release that ordered him to not to be around the victim.
The investigation is continuing.
