INFORMATION RELEASE
Date: 2015-06-16
From: Sgt. Chris Gifford
Case or Incident: #150616-004
On 06-16-2015 at 6:38 AM, a woman called the Juneau Police Department to report witnessing a man climbing out of a window of The Rendezvous Bar on Franklin Street. She reported the man, who was accompanied by two women, left the bar walking toward Marine Park. Officers responded and contacted a male and two females in the park. All of them appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and were in possession of bottles of liquor. At least one of the bottles had a pouring spout on the opening, as is common in bars. They were identified by the witness as the same three who were involved in the incident at The Rendezvous.
Further investigation revealed the man, 36 year-old Ralph Dean Jim, entered the business through a window and took several bottles of liquor. He then handed the bottles to the two women upon exiting the bar. Jim was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, and Theft in the Third Degree. The two women, 49 year-old Michele Norma Nelson and 41 year-old Davinnia Marie Tullos, were each charged with Theft in the Third Degree.
Jim was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail; Nelson and Tullos were issued summonses to appear in court and released.
All factual allegations contained in this release are based upon preliminary investigation and are subject to change or clarification as the investigation continues.
