Case or Incident: #Assault Suspect Arrested
On June 6th, 2015 at about 5:00am, a JPD officer located an unconscious male on the ground on Front Street. The male was bleeding severely from his face and did not appear to have a pulse. CPR was administered by the officer and CCFR was dispatched to the scene. Due to his critical condition, the male, a 50 year old Juneau resident, was transported to BRH and later sent for treatment to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Washington.
Officers immediately began an investigation and determined the male had been assaulted. On June 10th, 31 year old Darrin D. Austin was arrested for Assault in the 2nd Degree. He was transported to and lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
The investigation is continuing.
