On May 24, 2015, at about 3:30 in the morning, a man burglarized the CMT Convenience Store in the Miners Mercantile building at 225 Front Street. The suspect got away with about $3000 worth of silver dollar coins and four tablet style computers.
There is surveillance video and JPD is releasing a video of the surveillance screens that show the suspect moving through the store. The man is wearing a mask. You can see that he is wearing gloves and a watch on his right wrist. He is also wearing a cell phone case horizontally on his right hip. The time on the video is inaccurate.
One person of interest has been identified and after initial contact with an officer, investigators have not been able to locate him. The person of interest is 52 year old Juneau resident Ronald McKinney. He is known to travel between Juneau and Seattle.
The Juneau Police Department is seeking information about both the burglary and the current location of McKinney.
