Summary:

On 05/14/2015, at approximately 4:51 PM, a 44 year old female resident reported an attempted strong arm robbery near Sunny Point. In essence, the victim reported that she had been walking toward the Sunny Point parking lot, at approximately 3:45 PM, when she was approached by two men.

The first male was described as an Alaska Native adult, mid to late 20?s in age, approximately 5?11? tall, 180 pounds, longer hair but not past his eyes or ears, and clean shaven. The male was wearing a grey t-shirt and white ball cap.

The second male was described as possibly Hispanic, approximately 5?7? tall, 180 pounds, with short hair. No clothing description was provided.

The female victim said she was approached by the men in the Sunny Point Parking lot. The first male suddenly lunged toward the victim and attempted to steal her backpack off her arm. The second male appeared surprised by the first male?s actions. The female victim fought back and screamed that she was going to call the police. Both men then fled on foot toward the Glacier Highway. The backpack was not stolen. The female victim sustained an abrasion to her left elbow.
