On 05-10-2015 at 6:02 PM, Juneau Police received a report of a woman damaging merchandise with a hatchet at Walmart, located in the 6000 block of Glacier Highway. Officers responded and located a woman matching the description of the suspect in the area of Glacier Highway and Davis Avenue. The woman was identified as 33 year-old Miranda Davison and she was detained.
The investigation revealed the Davison used a hatchet to break seven flatscreen televisions valued at about $5,000, before fleeing the store.
Davison was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class C felony. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail.
Alcohol was not a factor in this incident.
