On 04-21-2015 at 2:10 PM, Juneau Police assisted state probation/parole officers with the remand of a man in violation of his conditions of parole, in the 11000 block of Glacier Highway. When the man was contacted by probation officers, he fled. Officers surrounded the area and searched the woods and beach in the area of the NOAA building in Auke Bay. He was later located hiding and taken into custody without incident. The man, 34 year-old Vicente Mendoza, was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center for the parole violation.
