On March 7th, 2015, between 10:30 in the morning and 6:30 in the evening a semi-automatic rifle made by Israel Weapons Industry, was taken from a residence in the 3600 block of Amalga Street. The gun is valued at $2000 and takes .223 ammunition. The weapon is distinctive, with a pistol grip and short stock. A picture of the weapon is posted on the JPD Facebook page.
Anyone with information is encouraged to log on to the Juneau Crime Line Web site and report their tip. You may also call JPD at 586-0600. You may be eligible for a reward.
