On 11/29/2014, at approximately 5:26 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a 911 call that a man had been injured with a knife in an apartment located in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. Police arrived at the apartment within three minutes of the call.
Capital City Fire Rescue paramedics arrived and transported the victim of the knife wound to the Bartlett Regional Hospital. The victim was later pronounced dead at BRH. The victim was identified as 50 year old Juneau resident Christopher K. Kenney. Next of kin has been notified. Kenney?s body was flown to Anchorage for an autopsy.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this case.
The case is actively being investigated by JPD detectives and the circumstances surrounding Kenney?s death are under investigation.

On January 29, 2016, the Juneau Police Departments with the assistance of the Wasilla and Palmer Police Departments arrested 28 year old Nora Edith Thomas for Murder in the 2nd Degree. Thomas was lodged at the Matsu Pre-Trial Corrections facility. Thomas' bail was set at $250,000
