The Alaska Peace Officers Association Capital City Chapter in partnership with the City and Borough of Juneau would like to welcome kids back to school with a fit and fun event on August 23, 2014. The Dash Back to School Triathlon is for children entering first through fifth grade this school year.
There will be plenty of prizes for kids swimming 50 yards, that is one lap down and back in the pool, riding a bicycle one mile, and running or walking a half mile. Parents or guardians may escort kids through the course.
All of the fun will take place this Saturday at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center. Registration is at 10:00 a.m. and the swim portion starts at 11:00 a.m. . The registration fee is $20 in advance and forms are available at both swimming pools. Day of race registration is $30.
All participants riding bicycles are required to wear a helmet, this includes adult escorts.
