On July 4th, 2014 during the Juneau 4th of July Parade, a 54 year-old local resident reported his 2004 Toyota pickup had been stolen while parked in a parking lot near the 10th Street and Egan Drive intersection. While speaking with officers, the victim saw his vehicle traveling through the 10th and Egan intersection. Officers quickly stopped the vehicle and detained the man driving it. The man, 24 year-old Stephan Robert Anderson, was arrested for Vehicle Theft in the First Degree and lodged at Lemon Creek without bail. There was no damage to the vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor.
